The south Indian film fraternity is so large that we can hardly keep track of all the actors who are currently a part of the industry. So after a lot of thought, we decided to focus on all the younger actors who would have definitely had a good shot at making their educational background work in their favour:
One of the top actors in Tamil cinema, Dhanush has just finished his matriculation. Since his brother was already in the movie industry as a director, Dhanush was pushed to Kollywood before he could think of any other option.
Hailing from a movie background, Jiiva did not waste much time in entering the industry himself. After his schooling, he did a course in multimedia graphics before he made his first film. His wife, on the other hand, is an MBA graduate.
Well known for his movie Bangalore Days, this Swiss-born actor comes with a good educational background. He holds a B.Tech degree in electronics and communications from FISAT institute in Kerala. He was working with Infosys before he joined the movies.
A well-known actor down south who has also made his mark in Bollywood, Prithvi was in the University of Tasmania pursuing his bachelors in information technology, before his debut movie Nandanam. He actually came back as his father passed away and that’s when he was discovered.
Son of the most cherished Malayalam actor Mammootty, Dulquer made his début with the movie Second Show and has never looked back since then. However, if he wanted to look back or elsewhere for a career, he could always use his BBA degree from the Purdue University.
Naveen Kumar Gowda, popularly known as Yash in Sandalwood, started his career in the industry by starring commercials. He made his début with the movie JambadaHudugi. He has B.A. degree, which technically he never intended to go ahead with as he was always more interested in performance arts.
The cutie pie with a sweet dimple, Diganth started out as a model. While he was modelling on one side, he was also pursuing his bachelors degree in commerce. He has recently stepped into Bollywood as well with the movie Wedding Pulav.
Arjun Sarja who is quite popular in Kollywood has his nephew Chiranjeevi taking over the Sandalwood in the recent times. Chiranjeevi is a pass out from the elite Baldwin boys school in Bangalore and has a graduation degree from Vijaya college.
Stylish star Arjun, known as Bunny completed his BBA Degree from MSR College in Hyderabad, before joining the family trade. He even learnt martial arts and gymnastics to up his acting skills.
Veteran actor Chiranjeevi’s son, Ram Charan made a grand entrance in the movie world with the film Magadheera. He did his schooling partly in Chennai and partly in Ooty. He then moved towards the acting industry.
The elder son of popular star Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya holds a bachelors degree in commerce. He went to Hollywood studios to learn stunts and dance moves. Apart from this, he even went to Trinity college in London, to study keyboard in a professional manner.
The stud or even the hulk of the south Indian cinema, Rana also hails from a movie background. Even though he had the connections, he went on to study photography, especially cinematography as it is his passion to make movies and maybe even get to dabble with the visual effects.
So, even though they had connections these south Indian actors went on to have some basic degree.
